They offered to send me an item from their new collection and of course, I chose the brightest dress that I could - the Sweet Heart Neckline Pink Skater Dress. It's quite a thick material but I like that because it pulls you in a little and feels supportive. I wore this to see McBusted last week and it was so comfortable to wear all day!
They also have a similar dress without the sweet heart neck line if that is a style you would prefer. They also have both types of dresses in a range of colours (including a gorgeous rush orange colour) all for under £25 each.
It feels like great quality and washed well when I put it through a wash. It is a great fit and pretty much spot on for sizing I would say!
Of course I couldn't resist teaming it up with my pink Black Heart Creatives necklace, which I think matches perfectly!
Have you bought anything from the new Pink Clove range?

Once again I roped in my sister to help me and we set about choosing items to wear from New Look. It's great that we have a choice of using the same retailer even if our bodies are so different. With this post we decided to do something different and choosing non-matching items.
I wanted to show that you can dress however you want, even if you are different sizes. My sister and I want to dress differently, but that doesn't mean that we wouldn't enjoy a shopping spree in the same place - as you can see, New Look lets us do this!
Lisa choose this Mela Navy Stripe Floral Skater Dress, which is out of stock now but there are plenty of patterns like it. It is a material that has no give or stretch in it, so that's worth remembering when you do order. It's only £24 too so bit of a bargain!
I chose this palm tree print dress from New Look Inspire and I love it. The dress is a lovely material and I found it to be a very generous size. I like the fact that it's black as I don't have many dark colours, but the pattern is also lovely and really breaks it up - and the dress has pockets, which I know so many of you love! It's less than £20 too! YAY!
So there you go, another way you can your friends can all shop in the same place :)
Thanks for reading

So, I decided to look into what options were out there and roped in my little sister to help me. Lisa is a size 10, so as you can imagine the differences in our bodies are quite drastic. I thought it would be interesting to see what choices we would have if we wanted to shop in the same places... First up Simply Be.
As Simply Be cater for sizes 12-32, as you can imagine they had plenty of choice! The lovely ladies at Simply Be offered to send us both a dress, to show just how versatile the brand is! We both chose the same dress as we wanted to showcase how different bodies can wear the same dress, look different but still look fab!
AX Paris Coral Lace Waist Skater Dress
We both really liked the dress, it's a lovely colour. I would say that the material is very unforgiving and has no stretch at all, so if you do it make sure you size up once or twice. As you can see you can easily style it with either leggings or tights and it would work just as well.
I intend to feature a few brands where you can buy a range of clothing in different sizes, just to showcase how good plus size fashion can be - if you know where to look!
Thanks for reading & thanks to my little sister for letting me feature her, she's a beaut isn't she!?

Every so often one of my friends sends me a link to something they think I would be interested in. All of my friends know that I strive for body positivity and spreading the word of self love and they send me links and articles that they know I'll find interesting, or enraging!
Someone pointed me in the direction of this article last night and WOW I am glad they did. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/embrace/embrace-the-documentary-that-will-create-global-ch
I watched the video with a mix of emotions because I know that it is something many people can relate to. The loving your body after going through some big changes, the pressure to change your body if you don't meet media standards and the surprise of people when you tell them that you love yourself despite your 'flaws'.
The page linked above is a Kickstart project to fund a film on a 'Love Your Body' project. I am simply spreading the word because I think all of the positivity in the short video on the page and the letter below is amazing, not to try and raise funds although that would of course be amazing.
Taryn Brumfitt had the idea for the documentary after posting this photo of herself online. She posted it and was surprised when it went viral (3.6 million hits very quickly after it posted), simply because she was proclaiming to love her body in the AFTER photo of this picture... People claimed she was brave but many also claimed that it wasn't possible. How could someone who was a body-builder with the perfect body actually love themselves after they have put on a little weight? Impossible, surely!?
She is making a documentary around her "The Body Image Movement" which is teaching women to love their bodies. She wants to make a life-changing documentary on body image, create change on how people feel about their bodies and the way people re-act to someone else's body.
The video in the page above is well worth watching so take 5 minutes out of your day to give it a click! Did you like it? Spread the word!
The world that you have contributed to the documentary by using the hashtag #ihaveembraced. Once you have made your contribution please take a photo of yourself with the hashtag #ihaveembraced and use social media to spread the message.
I'd love to know what you think
However, one of the nicest things about this dress is that it is available up to a size 36 which is something that really excites me. I love that Yours Clothing now offer clothing above a size 32 and when it is fashion items like this then it is even better. It's also a really generous size so you could easily size down if you wanted to. It has a tie at the waist so you can tie it nice and tight and bring it in if you want to give it a more fitted shape.
As you can see it has a keyhole effect cut out at the front which I think is really fun and cheeky for summer. It's also in the sale for just under £20.00 at the moment (If you're new to Yours Clothing you can use my Blogger18 code to get £10 off of a £20 spend).
If you do head over to the Yours Clothing website then make sure you check out their coming soon section because they have some dresses coming that are well worth lusting over!
Have you bought anything from Yours Clothing recently?

This time it was my turn to choose the theme for the Outside My Comfort Zone post - how exciting! I decided to choose "Wishes - We all have places we would love to shop but can't afford to. I would love to see your wishlist of clothes you would buy if money were no object!"
I am constantly window shopping and browsing websites I wish I could afford to shop at, so I thought I would have a look and see if everyone was just as nosey as me!
My first choice, without a doubt has to be Domino Dollhouse. Domino Dollhouse are an American clothing website and their stuff is amazing! I could probably just about stretch to shopping with them if there wasn't a risk of being billed massive amounts for trying to get the stuff into the country... so frustrting because they are beautiful!
|Silly Old Sea Dog|
A few weeks ago I discovered Silly Old Sea Dog when they launched their plus size range and WOW. If you are someone that has been lacking unique, vintage dresses in your life then you need these! They do up to a size 28 at the moment but are keen to extend this if the need is there! Look how pretty these dresses are!
I have lusted over Syreeta Badu dresses for ages now, but when I saw them at a fashion show last year I fell in love. You can see that the dresses are all well made and and they offer so much in the way of fashion-forward items. They're definitely on my 'will buy when I have lots of spare money' list!
So there you have, just a little snap shot into items I would buy if I were richer! Of course, there are loads more but these are some of my faves for sure!
What do you lust after?

I was amazed at the range of dresses they have, they have some really lovely items! If you're under a size 26 I would recommend them! As someone above that size I had to be careful what I bought - you have to pay attention to material etc to see what you can work with. In the end I choose this lovely blue dress and it's fab!
Turquoise Scoop Neck Floral Lace Pattern Swing Dress
It is a swing dress, although I do lose the swing effect as it is a little small and fitted on me. That said, I love the fit and I don't mind losing out on the swing affect at all! It's a really lovely vibrant colour and it fits fine.
They have this dress is a range of colours and even slightly different styles so if you're after a lace, swing dress then make sure you check them out.
Have you tried Just Curvy before?

If I am wearing a dress without leggings in the summer I miss the support feeling leggings usually give me and I don't want to wear stiff shapewear every day. I found these to be the perfect compromise. I know that isn't what they're designed or marketed for, but they were perfect for that for me.
They're really comfy to wear and didn't make me feel too warm at all! They come in two lengths (I choose the short ones) and both beige and black. I wore the beige under this Pink Clove dress but I have worn the black before too and they are just as comfy!
What tips do you have to survive summer?
The first outfit I wanted to share with you on my 'comeback' is this lovely dragonfly print dress from the fantastic team at Scarlett & Jo. It will come as no surprise that I am a bit Scarlett & Jo fan. I think when it comes to dresses they really do get it right every time. Their Spring Romance collection (with the infamous 2 for 1 prom dress) went down a complete storm and from what I have seen of the Summer Romance collection (which is slowly creeping into stores and online) this will be exactly the same - the poppy print dress they are bringing out is TO DIE FOR!
The lovely ladies at Scarlett & Jo were kind enough to send me this dragon fly print dress a few weeks ago and I love it. The print jumped out at me on the website and although its a different style to what I would usually wear, I really love it.
The sleeves are a sheer material so they give a subtle cover up without being too warm. It's a wrap like style and the length is really nice on it too! Its a quite generous fit thanks to the stretchy material but that is perfect for summer when you really want to try and avoid anything that is too warm and clingy.
Now, I just need a party to wear it to!
Do you have any Scarlett & Jo items in your wardrobe?
