Window Shopping Crazy Clearance

When it comes to looking for new clothes, I like to try and get a bargain where I can. Of course if I had an unlimited budget, I would buy ALL THE CLOTHES but sadly that is not the case! One of my go to places when it comes to bagging a bargain is Crazy Clearance!

The site sells old JD Williams stock but at much lower price. Yes, it's generally older stock but for me that doesn't matte. They're also really good for basics such as leggings and underwear, because who wants to spend more on those than they need to!

I have a look at the site today and there were some really nice items that caught my eye. These were some of my fave dresses:

Best of all, all of these dresses were under £15 - woop!

Where do you go for a bargain?

Your Fat Body & You. You Are Allowed To Exist

Hiiii

I realise that it has been a while since I posted anything "real" and I apologise. Do I need to apologise? Probably not! I actually apologise to myself the most - blogging is something that I really enjoy and I can't believe I let it slip. Today I had a reminder that it's nearly a year since WE trended on Twitter and hit loads of national press with #WeAreTheThey. It made me realise how much I loved all of this - it relit my fire I guess!

Anyway, I wanted to write about fat bodies and how we should demand more for them. I know that coming to grips with the word fat was very easy for me. I sort of always knew that it was just a word and therefore nothing to worry about. I know that there are lots of you that feel the same. However knowing that the word can't hurt you but actually navigating the world in a fat body can be two very different things. So, I wanted to put together a few words about demanding more for you and your body.

You Will Take Up Space

It is fact that as a larger person you will take up more space than someone smaller - just as taller people do over shorter people. It can be a really bad habit to get into when you start apologising for this, but it is also so easy to do. When you sit down & take up more space than someone else, you automatically want to apologise for it. When someone has to move out of the way you want to say sorry for the inconvenience. Yes, manners are important and you should thank someone for moving so you can pass/sit but you ARE ALLOWED to take up space, so don't apologise for it.

Sometimes You Just Won't Fit

Depending on you size, you might enter places when you just don't fit in. Booths in restaurants for example. In circumstances like this it is easy to apologise for your body or simply sit quietly uncomfortable and just make do. The truth is that you ARE ALLOWED to sit comfortably while you eat. Simply tell the people you are with that you would prefer a table and get people to move. It can be scary at first, but once you have done it and realise that people will move without even batting an eyelid, it does get easier.

You Can Look Good

Gone are the days of fat bodies just having to make do. If there is a store that refuse to stock your size simply move on to another. Yes, I know when it comes to plus size fashion it isn't always that easy but there are more options being introduced all the time. You ARE ALLOWED to look good.

You're Entitled To Healthcare

One of the things I read about most on plus size Facebook groups is the reluctance to seek medical advice because they feel the issue will just be blamed on their weight. Whilst I think we should recognise that sometimes weight can cause problems, not everything is affected. Don't be afraid to say to your doctor "Yes, I know I am overweight but I'd really like to concentrate on XXX today". You ARE ALLOWED to look after your health.

Lastly - Love Your Body

I can not stress this enough - Your body is worthy of love - both yours and someone elses. You ARE ALLOWED to love your body, in fact I recommend it!

I am sure there are lots more and I will probably revisit the topic again, but just know
you are allowed to exist and you are allowed to be happy!

Vape? The Lowdown!

As a non-smoker I have never given much through to vaping, until a few friends of mine started doing it. Don't worry this isn't going to be a post about how you should give up the habit, I'm very much of the opinion that each to their own - your body, your choice.

However as with anything I think it is a really positive to know all of your options and alternatives, so when Limitless vaping products asked me to introduce you to their products I jumped at the chance.

I sometimes feel as a non-smoker I miss out on many social occasions. At work everyone on break goes down together to have a sneaky smoke and catch up on the gossip. On nights out you'll find lots of my friends outside having a fag - for hours if the weather is nice.

For someone giving up smoking I can imagine that this part of your social life can be something you'll miss. Even I sometimes go out for a break with others who smoke - Fear Of Missing Out and all that. I can imagine as an ex-smoker this can be hard work going outside with everyone as the cravings take hold.

When I looked at the website for Vape Lux they had so many products available that I can only imagine that there would something for everyone. Arm yourself with one of you favourite flavours on a night out and you can be sure to survive without giving in to your cravings.

Of course you’ll have to do your own research to see if these suit you, but so far I can’t really find anything bad. By the looks of things you’ll save a fortune too – and money for nights out is always a good thing in my books!

Have you ever tried anything like this? How was it?

Lack of Dress Shopping

You might have noticed a lack of new fashion posts on my blog and Instagram lately. This is mainly because in 2016 I need to be more sensible. I earn just above the national living wage, which means realistically I don't have the cash to be splash on a new dress for every occasion.

At first I struggled with not shopping for a new dress on a whim, but actually when I look in my wardrobe I have some wonderful dresses that simply have not seen enough light of day. So, although I am not on a shopping ban I am definitely being more thoughtful in my fashion choices.

While I was thinking about finances and money I was invited to have a read of this info graphic about working conditions around the world. It's quite interesting to see how different countries compare don't you think?

With thanks to Citrix GoToMeeting

That said, if I won the lottery a shopping spree at Lady V London would definitely be top of my list! Where would you shop if money were no object?
