Present Shopping When Christmas is Over

I can bet most of the country feels like they're all shopped out when it comes to present giving at this time of year - however everyone still needs presents. Christmas might be the time when we buy a bulk of gifts at the same time - but you still have anniversary, birthday and other occasion gifts to buy throughout the year.

I always quite like the idea of buying a gift for someone, but I am useless when it comes to deciding what to buy them. It feels like such a big pressure, to choose something that you're confident they're going to be happy with. That is why I quite like having a browse through helpful sections such as Anniversary Gifts on the Uncommon Goods website because it makes choosing much easier.

Whether you're looking for anniversary gifts for him or anniversary gifts for her, Uncommon Goods is a good place to start. They have some really unusual and unique present ideas - which means that you can feel confident you're giving them something that is new to them.

Their website aims to offer recycled and sustainable products which means that you're also doing your bit for the environment. Lots of their present ideas are also personalised which is ideal if you're looking for something a bit special.

Personally I lost hours just window shopping their website - there was so many different gifts ideas I hadn't come across before. Without a doubt I'll be buying something from their website in the near future.

What next big gift do you have to buy now that Christmas is over? I think I am safe until my brothers birthday in February!

2017 Wishlist: Lottery Win

I know they say that money can't buy happiness - but it would really help wouldn't it? I realise that money doesn't solve all of your problems, but I have to say that the idea of a lottery win is quite exciting!

Have you ever had one of those conversations where you chat about what you would do if you were a lottery winner and who you would share your money with? I love those type of conversations, just dreaming of a day when my bank balance has a few more zeros at the end of the figure than it does now!

Over the holidays I was invited to experiment with the Lottoland website, which is a website that gives you an easy way to bet on things such as the Euro Millions Lottery. I do a regular lottery syndicate with my friends but this website allows you to extend that and try things such as the Irish Lottery, which personally I have never played! It's worth having a read of their guidelines, because you don't actually bet on the official website - but you can still win big!

Of course, you should always gamble responsibly, but I have to admit to being partial to the odd flutter with a scratch card here or there. I think maybe I am just too impatient to wait for the lottery results and I want to know straight away if I have won.

What I loved about Lottoland is that they had so many different scratchcards to choose from - all with different amounts to win and different costs to play. I liked this because it means that whatever you're looking to spend when you want to place a bet, there is going to be something that suits you!

What would you spend your money on, if you were to win big?

I know, I know - I always talk about my love of Lady V London and their Lady Voluptous range designed by Georgina Horne.

I am really lucky in that a few weeks ago they sent me some of their dresses to try for size and see how much I liked them. I've had the photos on my phone for a while and haven't yet got around to bloggng about them properly - I will!

Christmas Presents To Watch For

When it comes to buying presents, it can sometimes be hard to know what to buy people. Christmas often feels a lot more pressure, because there's so many people to buy for  - and you want each gift you give to be perfect.

Whilst deep down, we all know that it isn't about how much we spend, or what we buy over the holidays but instead spending time with our loved ones and reminding ourselves how lucky we are.

That said there are times when you want to buy something special and that's when you have to start the search. For me, if I am going to give a big gift then I want it to be something that is likely to last. Something that can have sentimental value attached to it and will be around for a number of years.

I was invited to check out the Chapelle website a few weeks ago and it gave me some fantastic ideas for really nice, special presents. They have some really pretty jewellery and I am sure we all know someone that loves bit of bling!

They were kind enough to let me try out the website and see how easy it was to order! They have womens and mens gift guide sections which make browsing easy! I had a look through the womens gift guide section and there was loads that I would want to choose for myself!

In the end I ordered this lovely rose gold watch, which came super fast and fantastically packed!

Hows your Christmas shopping going?

Topsy Curvy Christmas

Can you believe how close it is to Christmas? I feel like it's going to be here before we know it - I suppose I better start getting a bit organised!

Every year I get at least one Topsy Curvy Christmas swing dress - mainly because they do them so well. I know there are a few brands that are doing these types of dresses now, but I love that Topsy Curvy offer them in a high size range too.

I have spoken a lot of times about my love of Topsy Curvy and the way they strive for more and I don't think I'm likely to stop raving about them anytime soon! In fact, they have some really exciting stuff planned for 2017 which I can't wait to tell you all about!

You'll see on the Topsy Curvy website and Facebook that they have loads of different Christmas dresses which is fantastic because it means that whatever style of dress you would like to wear, they'll have one for you! They have a whole Christmas stop section on their website!

What I love and have always loved about Topsy Curvy is the fact that they'll always tell you honestly about size and style. We all know the perils of online shopping and finding something that fits, but this brand really help with this.

This dress is a lovely thick material which makes it fantastic to wear when the weather is cool. Maybe I'll make it my Christmas day dress?

What will you be wearing over the festive season?

The Importance of Good Office Furniture

For a well run office it's really important that you look at other pieces of furniture that can help. Organisation is key and I know that office storage is really important for this. You might think that things like filing cabinets aren't essential, but they really make a massive difference.

When you're trying to get something done at work the last thing you want to do is be searching around for paperwork or someones account details. With the right storage system you can feel confident that you're going to be able to put your hands on something quickly and easily.

I should probably confess - I am writing this blog post, sat in bed with my laptop resting on my knees. I am sure I am an office health and safety teams worst nightmare, but thankfully I only sit like this every now and then.

Picture thanks to Combi Boiler Leeds

When it comes to work I try to make sure that I sit sensibly in my chair - it's easy to slouch over and feel like this is more comfortable. However I work long days and I often feel back ache if I don't properly. A good chair, which can be adjusted to suit you is essential. We all need different amounts of support, different seat heights and even different ways we'd like the arms of our chairs.

You could also consider what else you can add to make your working environment great - and that isn't always about how you sit. Being happy where you work is essential too - so don't be afraid to put photos of loved ones on your desk, buy a desk plant and of course decorate for special occasions such as Christmas. It really does make all the difference!

When it comes to your work environment, what piece of furniture could you not live without?

Pretty Vintage Dress? Owl Take That!

Lady Voluptuous you have done it again! Last week they sent me some of their Winter Collection to try and I love it - I'll be posting pics of the other dresses soon but this is my favourite so I had to share it with you.

I love the dressy style of Lady V Voluptuous dresses but sometimes you want something a bit more casual - which for me means dress and leggings. When I saw the Olivia dress go on the website, I knew she would be perfect for this. She comes up quite long in length that I would wear her without leggings too, so win-win.

I love the dark colours of this dress and of course the owl print is fantastic. I am always on the look out for dresses with unusual prints and this was definitely ticks that box. I can picture this with leggings and winter boots for those days when it's extra chilly!

I have talked very many times about my love for this brand and what Georgina Fuller Figure Fuller Fuller Bust helped create. However what I love most about this brand is that they actually listen. They're offering so many styles up to a size 32 and they really pay attention when people talk about what they want - dresses with unusual styles for example.

The fit of the Olivia is great - it's a very thick, stretchy material which makes it not only comfortable to wear but a great fit.

What is your favourite Lady Volup dress?
