Walking Smack Bang Into A Plus Size Fashion Find

Seeing as today is my first day off work in what seems like forever I thought I would have a look at buying something to wear to The Curve Fashion Festival next weekend - nothing like leaving it to the last minute eh?

I tried all my usual outlets but nothing seemed quite right. I thought I'd try outside of the box and go for something different. I had seen Interrobang Art & Fashion mentioned on social media before but never paid much attention.

When I had a proper look today the first thing I noticed on their Etsy page was that they had such a range of items. Clothing patterns, plain colours, films and much more - it was lovely to see such an array of choices.

However perhaps more importantly was their size range. I was literally over the moon (OK, maybe not literally) to see that their items went from a size 6 to a size 36.

I get excited when I can buy usual prints in my size, but it excites me even more when I can see that pretty much everyone can wear the items on offer. It's so rare to see such an offering that I had to write about it straight away! This is exactly what I want to see from retailers especially those who claim #plusisequal #stylehasnosize etc. This lady has been quietly doing what we wanted all along and that is something that needs to be celebrated!

I have messaged her to see if she can get me a skirt in time for Curve Fashion Festival. Either way I'll be buying an item so expect a proper review soon - I just couldn't wear to share it with you all!

What is your favourite item of theirs?

She Was A Scooter Girl - Another Plus Size eBay Skirt

You might remember a few weeks ago I wrote about some rather fabulous plus size skirts I found on eBay. The watermelon and the music note prints went down a storm - I loved seeing all of your pics!

The lovely lady who makes the skirts promises to get in loads more exciting prints in and personally I can't wait to see what she comes up with!

A couple of days ago she sent me this lovely skirt to try and of course it's a hit! What I love about these skirts is that you give her your measurements, so they fit you perfectly. She even makes the waistbands wider on larger sizes, there really is so much thought put into these!

I love the fun print of this skirt - it's unique and unusual! It's a sort of hula theme, with lots of colours that you can use to match up with accessories that you wear. I really like the fact that it's covered in scooters - where else would you see something so fun!?

I really hope that the lady behind these skirts keeps up the great work. I think her items are an amazing addition to the plus size world - have you head over to eBay to find yours yet?

What prints would you like to see on a skirt like this? Personally I have my eye on the Ohh Laa Laa Paris skirt!

I Carried A Watermelon - A Plus Size eBay Find!

I browse eBay all the time to see what is happening, what is for sale and, of course, to try and grab myself a bargain! Although plus size clothing has come on leaps and bounds over recent years it's nice to browse eBay and pick up rarer items.

A few weeks ago I came across this eBay auction and I fell in love. I love the fact that the skirts come in such a wide variety of patterns. However what I loved most was the size range on offer  - The skirts are made to measure so you can literally order your perfect size!

The lady behind this wonderful creation offered to send me two of them to try and I am so excited to share them with you. I literally told her my dress size, my height and where I wanted the dress to fall on me and she did the rest.

I teamed both of the skirts with a plain black Bardot top from ASOS which I think went well with it. The length of the skirt meant it was perfect to wear either with or without leggings!

I have my eye on the flamingo skirt next - the colours on it are to die for!

You can buy them here.

If you buy one, don't forget to let them know I sent you!

Which one do you like best?

Scarlett and Jo - A Splash of Colour for Winter!

It is probably quite obvious but when it comes to clothing, I love nothing more than a bit of colour! I know winter is supposed to be about browns, purples and darker colours but I have never been one for breaking the rules!

I have had my eye on the Scarlett and Jo items for a few months now, but never taken the leap to buy one because I wasn't sure how they would fit on me. As you know a few weeks ago I spoke to one of the new Evans online Shape Stylists and Sarah gave me some great advice about them and so I bagged myself a bargain and bought this skirt in the sale.

I think it looks great worn in different way which is another thing I love about fashion - making it work for you!

What are your favourite items for winter?

ASOS Lace Skirt - Two's Company

A few weeks ago this skirt popped up on ASOS at a price of just £13 - how was I supposed to resist this?

I wore this for dinner and drinks out on Sunday afternoon in London, after a heavy night out in London the night before (School disco party at Club Indulge was never going to be pretty). I teamed it up with a plain black cami top (also from ASOS), a grey kimono (New Look) and a pink heart shaped bag (from New Look).

It was a bit windy when I took the pics so you'll have to excuse the windswept look, but it gives you an idea of just how pretty the skirt is! It is a little outside of my comfort zone of what I would usually buy but I am really glad that I bought it - it's so pretty!

Dinner at Grill Shack and Yates cocktails - no better way to spend a hungover Sunday afternoon!

Lucia from U Can't Wear That bought the skirt too!

As you can see she looks brill in it - read her review here

What sale bargains have you grabbed lately?

OMCZ: We're All Going On A Summer Holiday...

Time For another Outside My Comfort Zone post, this time around the theme of summer holidays. I am not going on holiday this year, but to be honest with you a bit of sunshine even in the UK gets me giddy. I love hot days where you can sit in the park or the dark and just relax!

For me summer comfort is all about wearing flowy clothes that are easy to wear and of course summer wouldn't be summer without floral patterns and pastel colours. The whole idea of the challenge this fortnight was to look at how we would dress for an evening meal on holiday. The important thing for me would be to feel comfortable.

I was a bit late typing this post and only started this morning... As I was typing THIS little beauty from Scarlett & Jo dropped on my Twitter feed and it's lovely! I am almost glad I am on a July spending ban because otherwise this could well be winging its way to me already!

I wouldn't over dress the skirt as I feel it is already beautiful on its own. For me a white t shirt or vest top and a pair of pretty sandals would be enough.

Another option for me would be to wear a kimono! Lucia at U Can't Wear That has dragged me into her obsession with kimonos and now I love them! Yours Clothing have some beautiful offerings at the moment. For me a kimono is perfect summer holiday evening wear - a plain maxi skirt and white shirt are perfect and then you can add a splash of colour with a kimono of your choice!

What would you wear for an evening in the sunshine?
