Trying Something a Little Different From Lady V London

If you have read my blog before then you will know I am a massive fan of the Estella dress by Lady V London and Georgina from Fuller Figure Fuller Bust. I honestly feel that the Estella dress was something quite revolutionary - in that you just can't find pretty, vintage style clothing in sizes 28+.

Lady V London were kind enough to send me a dress to the British Plus Size Awards - which you can read all about here. I initially wanted an Estella dress but unfortunately you all loved them so much that they sold out in my size. Lady V London actually offer 3 plus size dresses - the Isabella and the Hepburn alongside the Estella. I looked at the measurements for the Hepburn and even though it's 2 sizes smaller, the way it is cut means the they weren't too much smaller than the Estella style I was so in love with.

They sent me the Violent Violet Poppy Hepburn dress and I was over the moon when it fitted. I love the shape of the dress and the pattern is not one I have seen much before at all. I probably would benefit from a size up was available, but once again it just goes to show that you can ignore labels and make 'too small' clothing fit you.

I went to the awards with Lucia from U Can't Wear That who managed to bag the Estella Damask print dress before they all went - she looked lovely!

I have 3 Lady V London dresses now and I haven't a problem with any of them. I have always loved fast, affordable, bargain priced fashion. However an investment piece like this is far more likely to make my wardrobe than it did before and that is all down to the quality offered by Lady V London.

I wait with baited breath to see what other Estella patterns they bring out next!

As part of their Black Friday Deals, Lady V London have up to 60% off of dresses until midnight. I snapped up an Isabella to complete my Lady V London collection. When it gets here I will have at least one of each of their dresses... Review coming soon, of course!

Someone Left My Cake Out In The Rain - Featuring Lady V London

If you follow me on any type of social media then you will see I got VERY excited about the new range of Estella dresses that Lady V London released last week! I have raved about the Estella dress before and I have no doubt that I will again - it's a beaut!

When I realised that they had bought it out in their infamous cupcake print, I literally could not have been happier. Is it normal to be that excited about a dress? I bought it within the hour! Good job really as it was sold out in my size just a few days later!

As you can see the dress fits lovely, they have now improved the stitch on the bust area and I really like it that way now. The cream Estella I have is lovely but I wear it with a vest top underneath, I don't think I will need to with this style!

One thing I have to say about Lady V London is that the quality is amazing. I am always out for a bargain and spending £50 on a dress all the time is definitely not something I could do all the time but I don't regret spending it on this because it is such a thick, quality material so you know it is something that will last!

What is your favourite Lady V London print?

The Lady Who Went To Tea Featuring Lady V London

You might remember a few months I wrote very excitedly about the Estella Dress by Lady V London, designed by Georgina at Fuller Figure, Fuller Bust. At my birthday celebrations earlier this week I could have cried with happiness when my friends presented me with a package that contained one of them! I am SO happy to say I am now a proud Estella Dress owner and it feels good!

This morning I ran a Macmillan Coffee Morning locally to me and I used it as an excuse to wear the dress out for the first time... Well tea and cake does go perfectly with a pretty dress like this. The dress fits perfectly and I love the shape it gives my body.

I had to wear a vest to underneath to protect my modesty and I would probably usually wear it with a cream or white best top but I don't think the black top looks bad at all! (On that note, I hear that  the new out Lady V London dresses have an improved fit with a stitch on the wrap part at the front so I would be interested to try it).

The material is a lot thicker than I expected but not in a way that makes it too hot or too stiff to wear. It doesn't have much stretch but that does mean that it 'brings you in' and I love the shape that this gives me. I wear the waist quite high so the length is perfect but you could easily get away with this if you were taller too!

Lady V London have just released a range of polka dot dresses in the same shape, which I would love to try especially with the extra stitch on the wrap to give a better fit.

Do you have an Estella dress? Which one is your favourite?
