Over the bank holiday, I was lucky enough to be invited to Brighton to take a trip on the i360 viewing tower and I am so glad I went!
We expected Brighton to be busy as it was Bank Holiday Monday so we pre-booked a parking space – super organised I know! It took a little while to find the parking but once we did, it was perfect! We headed to the viewing tower queue and managed to make the 3pm flight.
Our First Trip Out Since Lockdown
Social distancing wise it was great – everyone wore masks when moving around the pod and we have our temperature taken before we were allowed on. They don’t allow the pods to get to full capacity so it all felt super safe!
The ride takes 20 minutes and I thought it would feel rushed, but actually, it’s a really nice length of time. The pod goes up the tower slowly so you don’t really feel like you’re moving – except for the fact that everyone on the ground gets much smaller!
The view is phenomenal and photos really can’t do it justice. A few of the buildings you can see have graffiti on their roofs too. I know there are mixed viewings about street art but I can’t help but like it – all of the colours and obvious talent!
If you’re in Brighton and want to see some of Brighton’s best views, I’d recommend booking for this. It’s right on the seafront so really easy to go to. It is about 15-minute walk from “The Lanes” where lots of pubs and restaurants are – but it’s a really pleasant walk by the sea so I really enjoyed it!
We spent some time on the beach, visited a mini fishing museum, shopped in an international supermarket and had some amazing Korean chicken before heading home – well and truly knackered.
It’s been a while since I was last in Brighton, but I would love to go back!
