Trip to Kingston – The Ancient Market

This market stands in the same spot it has been since medieval times. The square is surrounded by typically English architecture and shows a blend of ancient and modern influences. Here you will find fresh fish, meat, olives, bread, and fruits and vegetables. Gather up some produce and make your way to the next attraction.

Trip to Kingston – Riverside Walk

This area alongside the river has a buzzing array of eclectic pubs, restaurants, bars, and cafes where you can sit back and watch the boats, both big and small, on the river. Tired of walking from one attraction to the next? Why not make use of a Kingston cars service like Premier Cars to get you from point A to B on the next part of your fun trip?

Trip to Kingston – Kingston Bridge

This is a great vantage point to appreciate the beautiful views on offer. This bridge was first constructed from wood but has undergone numerous renovations. It joins the town centre to Hampton Court Park.

Trip to Kingston – Boat Trip on the River Thames

Boat trips run daily and here you can take advantage of some of the most scenic stretches of the River Thames.

Trip to Kingston – Bushy Park

This park boasts free-roaming deer and an assortment of natural wild- and birdlife. Take your provisions from the market and have a relaxing picnic on the grounds. Alternatively, there is a family-friendly pub near to the park that is very popular amongst locals and tourists alike. Wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of London? Bushy Park is an ideal place to forget about the fast pace, pollution and traffic of the bigger centres.

Trip to Kingston – Out of Order Landmark

This iconic sculpture designed by artist David Mach is perfect for those happy snaps and selfies. It shows both the history and quirkiness of Kingston. It consists of twelve red telephone boxes toppled over on top of each other in a domino effect. Let your imagination run wild and enjoy trying to explain to the youngsters how useful these telephone boxes were in the times before mobile phones.

Trip to Kingston – The Rose Theatre Kingston

This is the theatrical centre of the region with multiple productions to choose from. Both west end and local arts groups produce works at this prestigious theatre that is based on a replica of Elizabethan style theatres from Shakespeare’s time. The theatre prides itself on its high artistic standards, commitment to learning, and determination to involve the community.

If you still have some time to kill, why not visit Hampton Court Palace in the neighbouring town of Richmond upon Thames? This palace was one of Henry VIII’s favourite residences and you can imagine yourself as part of the royal family while you wonder about the impressive grounds and historical interiors. Either way, you will not regret your trip to Kingston and may find yourself making plans to go back again and again.
