I love robots, I’m not afraid to admit it! Ever since I got my first one when I was about 2 I’ve loved them. Some of you may have even spotted that I have a robot tattoo; which is undoubtedly one of my favourite pieces of ink! However, it isn’t just because AI and robots are really cool; but they can actually do some amazing things – especially for business owners! Here’s a look at what I love about the things robots can help us achieve:
Helping Businesses
Whatever size of business you have, there is no doubt that AI and robots could help you in some way. Over recent years we have seen some great technological advances in the things that robots can do; which will help when it comes to what they can do to help businesses. For example, there are plenty of procedures that would have usually taken manpower to do that robots are now able to assist us with. This means that these procedures are no longer delayed by staff absence or tiredness – instead, they can on going; helping that part of a business to become much more effective.
Keeping Us Safe
Machine vision systems are a really great thing within the packaging industry. These vision inspection systems are able to fully automate the quality checks on your products because you send them on for distribution. From a consumers point of view, this is great news because it means you have peace of mind that any recalled products can be immediately identified and stopped from being distributed. It also means that you can feel happy knowing that all products have been automatically checked for quality. From a business point of view, this helps to indemnity product failures early and put a fix in place to increase yield and improve customer satisfaction.
Doing Tasks We Can’t Do
There have been different AI and Robots that have been used in various industries to work alongside us, assisting in jobs that we can’t do – for example, helping with complicated surgical procedures or lifting heavy objects. These jobs being carried out by AI or automated machinery means that they can be carried out with precision, which is something that a human hand can’t always do.
Here’s me and my much-loved robot tattoo!
Personally, I think the future for robots can only get better as we see more technological advances and discover more ways that we can benefit from them in everyday life and business. You only have to watch a handful of YouTube videos to be able to see that what these pieces of machinery can achieve these days is far superior to the toy robot I loved so much in the early 80s. We expect so much more from all of our technology and so it makes sense that the world of AI, robots and machinery used in business only follow suit with the same level of advancement.
What are your thoughts on technology and robots? Are you a lover or would you say you’re a bit of a technophobe? I’d love to know!
