The Advantages of Door Stops – It’s not every day that I feel like talking about door stops – or home ironmongery, in general – but I thought today is the day. Why not talk about the little details in my home that keep it without scratches and scuffs? That might or might not be the case right now. Okay… yes, my door stop needs a replacement, and yes that’s one of the reasons I thought about writing this article. Although I still believe that door stops do not get as much attention as they should or better, as any small hardware detail deserves.
As Rice Cakes and Raisins says small details of your home are incredibly important to the overall look of a space. “These small ironmongery details can tie together your interior design and even enhance the look of your home.” But why are door stops so important?

Door stops like door wedges are ideal to keep doors open and thus, prevent doors from snapping shut. By keeping doors open, door wedges also allow people to come in and out of a room with ease and improve ventilation.

Those are the main advantages of door stops but there’s another reason why I like door stops so much – their decorative element, of course! Door stops are far from boring home add-ons. Also known as door stoppers, these pieces of hardware come in all shapes, sizes and designs.
