I’m Debz and I have been writing on my little corner of the web for just over 5 years. I am a self-confessed social networking addict with a love of blogging. This blog covers all sorts of topics around plus size fashion and body image with a splash of lifestyle thrown in for good measure. I live in Yorkshire with my boyfriend,, our two cats two dogs and work as a virtual assistant.
Blogging Highlights
In 2015 I was honoured to be nominated and win Best Activist in the very first Curvee awards.
I’m keen to represent plus size bodies wherever possible and enjoy working with brands to make this happen. I worked with Scarlett & Jo which resulted in being featured on their company fliers and website. This is something I am really keen to do because representation is really important. Although the world of plus size bloggers and models has gotten better, we still need to see more representation of different bodies across main stream media. So, if anything comes up where I can do something small to help this then I’ll jump on board and do so.
#WeAreTheWay is a positive social media campaign I headed up a few years ago, which got the attention of plenty of the media – it was incredible & something I would love to see happen again. It is great to see plus size bodies used in campaigns more frequently and this is something that I will always get behind, because it is so, so important to have a range of bodies represented across all media.
