As you all know I have recently discovered Very for plus size fashion and I am loving it. One of the things I love about shopping at Very is that you can get everything from one place; which makes shopping much easier. They recently kindly gave me some dresses to try; so here’s a look at dressing very nice for your Christmas party.
Plus Size Dresses
One of the things I adore about shopping with Very is the fact that they stock Yours Clothing; which means they have lots of dresses up to a size 40! Whether you’re looking for black midi dresses or something else completely you should be able to find something that you love. I’ve never been a little black dress kinda person, always opting for colours and patterns, but they had some perfect compromises when it comes to looking for dresses this season.
I picked this shirred top midi dress & I am really happy that I did. It’s a thick jersey material so it would be great for outdoor Christmas events or even a Christmas day walk. I love the colours of it and the length; keep in mind that I am only 5’2 so it may come up a little shorter on you. Sizing wise it’s generous and I liked the oversize feel to it, but if you’re between sizes then you’ll be able to size down without too many worries at all.
I also tried this black and red midi dress out for size. The material has less stretch than the other dress, not a problem at all but you might want to size up for comfort if you can.
It’s such a lovely pattern though so great for wearing to a Christmas dinner with friends.
The Bits and Pieces That Go With It
As you all know, I am a comfort girl through and through so I’d be wearing trainers to any Christmas party I could. I love that Very stocks a wide range of brands which means you can get pretty much anything you want there. I remember being a teenager and wanting Reebok Classics SO BADLY, but I never could – so when I saw these pink ones on the Very website I had to snap them up. I picked a cute back from Quiz that matched them and I felt comfortable and Christmas party ready!
The Finishing Touches
If you fancy getting glitzed up even further then they even stock lots of jewellery, which could finish off your Christmas outfit perfectly – something like this necklace and earring set would be perfect!
