Did you know that fashion brand Zalando are approaching their 3rd birthday? No? Me neither until they emailed me today and reminded me – how nice of them!
As part of their third birthday celebrations, they are inviting bloggers to write about how our fashion styles and inspirations have changed since we were three years old! Now, I’ll be honest – I can’t remember much about fashion when I was three (I was more interested in my Mister Frosty) and even when I was 10 it was all about having a Tamagotchi rather than a pretty dress, but I am still excited to look back and see!
Sadly, I am from a generation much older than Facebook, so no toddler or teenage selfies, but let’s take a little trip down memory lane anyway!
Apparently, as a young child, I didn’t care much about fashion!
And as a teenager, I didn’t mind dressing up as a Victorian lady!
Even as an older teenager I really cared more about having a good time over anything else!
Annnd then I discovered social media – my very first Facebook profile picture!
To be honest with you, it was when I moved to London that I really discovered fashion and make up in a big way. I lived in London for 2 years and during that time my style changed massively! I am now back up north but I am definitely loving the new fashions that I discovered!
What a difference 8 years makes!
To be honest with you, I thank London for introducing me to fashion but also retailers for stepping up to the bar. These days there is so much choice when it comes to plus size fashion, which means that I can dress the way I want easily rather than going into one high street retailer, being depressed at them having nothing that I like and then leaving again!

It sounds like London really changed your view on things! I bet it was amazing! I've went through so many stages growing up! There was the pink stage, trackie bottoms and the latest is black which am trying to get away from! 🙂 Been trying for 4 years though LOL 🙂 P.S Is that REALLY Simon Cowell?? 😮

Gosh, I can't even BEGIN to tell you how many changes I've gone through! From donning dreadlocks (seriously) and only black and red to going through a GHASTLY short, tight and skimpy stage as a 16 year-old (ugh), it's been quite an adventure, but I wouldn't have it any other way! 😉
