When I had more of a social life, I was definitely the organiser of our group. Even if we were just meeting for pub lunch I was keen to book a table and make sure that we had somewhere nice to it. Of course, that isn’t always possible but it definitely helps to be organised when you’re looking to plan the perfect social event.
First Things First
Before you get too involved in party planning, you should take a step back to consider exactly what you are planning, who will be attending and what you hope to achieve. The social event you are planning will affect things like what food you want to serve and whether you want to arrange a bar to be there or not. By picturing how you want the event to look on the night, you can start in the right direction and plan things that are actually needed; rather than waste your time on things that you decide aren’t needed in the end.
Create a List… or two!
The key to stress-free planning is organisation. It seems like such a simple step, but creating a tick list to work from really does help. Online retailer Ningbo have helped you out by creating a series of party planning checklists for you to be able to use, each one different depending on the event you are planning.

Tick lists like this help to keep your planning on track. Not only that but when things become a little overwhelming, having a number of boxes ticked off as completed can help keep you motivated – because you’ll be able to see just how much you have already arranged. Tick lists are great for getting over people to help you out too – because they can immediately see what is needed & pick a task to get on with.

Things To Avoid
It is all well and good thinking about what you need to do when it comes to trying to plan the perfect social event – but what things should you avoid? The first thing you need to do is make sure you avoid trying to do it all on your own. Getting help relieves the pressure and makes it much easier to get things done. If you’re providing food and/or drink then making sure you have enough for everyone is a must – you may over-order, so think about what you’re going to do with the leftover food to save it from going to waste. Most importantly, don’t stress – everything will come together in end and it will all be worth the stress you have gone through to plan the perfect social event.
If you have any tips for how to plan the perfect social event I would love you to share them
