Look – I’m wearing a winter coat! If you ask any of my friends, they’ll tell you that I am terrible at actually wrapping up warm for winter. As someone that is usually quite warm and hates being too hot, I just find that things like winter coats make me feel too warm most of the time. However, now we have two dogs and are definitely out in the cold more often, wearing a winter coat is a must – and that is where Yours Clothing come to the rescue.
As ever, one thing I love about Yours Clothing is the sizing options that they offer. Often with winter coats, if I order my usual size, by the time I have a couple of layers on underneath they’re too small. Yours Clothing has tonnes of winter clothes right up to a size 40; which means that I can easily size up and ensure I get something that is going to be comfortable to wear.
Wearing a Winter Coat – Yours Clothing Review
I decided that if I was going to get a coat then I would go all out and get myself something proper – not a jacket (got one of those) and not just a waterproof mac (got one of those) but an actual winter coat – one that will keep me both warm AND dry. I browsed the Yours Clothing website and was pleasantly surprised at how many they had on offer – even with me wanting to size up to 34/36.
I am sure most of us know that often with plus size ranges when you start to size up to the higher sizes often options are limited, but that isn’t the case with Yours Clothing at all. In the end, I decided on this plus size khaki green faux fur coat – and just look how nice it is!

I am 5’2 and as you can see it’s a really nice length on me – shout out to the leggings too which are also from Yours Clothing! I hate baggy or too-long leggings, which at 5’2 and with a smaller bottom half of my legs can often be hard to find. I usually get this twin pack of cropped leggings from Yours Clothing and they’re perfect, and they last a pretty decent amount of time before the thighs are destroyed – if you know, you know.

One thing I did really like is the size of that hood isn’t massive. One thing I have found when I have dabbled with buying winter coats in the past is that when you size up on the coat that the hood sizes up with it, as though our heads are double the average size. This means that you usually end up with a massive hood that is totally impractical. I didn’t find that with this coat – it’s big but not enough that it would affect the wear and actually the fur lining makes it nice and cosy.
