A Hidden Gem – Popsy Clothing Plus Size Review. I have spoken before about the importance of ignoring clothes sizes and just trying stuff; but with all of my clothes shopping being done online it’s been harder to do in recent years. However, I recently found a dress I simply HAD TO own – and so, a reminder of my own advice has well and truly happened.
Popsy Clothing Plus Size Review
I have to admit I have seen Popsy clothing mentioned online loads of times – they do up to a size 24, so not an insignificant plus size clothing offering. However, as someone who consistently wears a 28/32 I assumed I would be pushing my luck with Popsy clothing and so I have steered well clear of their website – until now.
Last week I saw that one of their newest prints was RACCOONS!! Now, not only am I a fan of dresses with quirky patterns but I have a bordering-on-unhealthy love of racoons too! I actually got to meet some last year and FEED THEM LUNCH and it was undoubtedly one of the best days I have ever had.
When I saw that Popsy had a racoon print dress, I immediately wanted it. The fact that it only went to a size 24 was off putting, but I figured I would worry about little things like it actually fitting at a later date! Can you imagine my surprise when the dress arrived and it actually fit!?

How Does It Fit? A Popsy Clothing Plus Size Review
There are a couple of really surprising things about this dress, especially when you consider I’m a size 28/32 and this is a size 24. The first is that the arms are not tight at all, in fact the material is super soft and stretchy so it’s really comfortable to wear. Often when I wear dresses that are “too small” the top of the pattern stretches, but that hasn’t happened with this one. And perhaps the best part and something my fellow plus sizers will understand is that THE BELT FIT! Not only did the super cute belt fit, but it fit with plenty of material left over – generous is not the word!

Obviously I can’t say that all Popsy dresses will be as generous and I know that everyone is shaped differently and likes different fitting dresses but for me this was perfect and a reminder that trying clothes on even when they’re not your size pays off.

Now, which Popsy dress should I try next? Maybe I should do another Popsy clothing plus size review? Any excuse to buy a new dress… or two 🙂
