My favourite Farrow and Ball Colours – I’ve been meaning to give my home a new splash of colour for quite some time. I know many of you decided to transform your home during lockdown but I didn’t. I could have. I should have. But it didn’t happen. I say this but, at the same time, there isn’t a better or worse time to spruce up your home. As one of my favourite sayings goes “there is never a better time than now”. I wanted to share with you my favourite Farrow and Ball colours.

Don’t let yourself feel like you have to do things at the same rhythm as other or at the same time as others. This is something I feel applies to many stages of life, including home improvement. I saw so many people completely transform their homes during lockdown, and good for them. I simply didn’t do it but now, it’s the right time for me to do it. My home has been begging for an uplift and I can’t wait to give it a new coat of paint.
After some research on what colours to paint my walls or even what brands to use, I found out about Farrow and Ball. You might have heard about them as they are quite a popular paint brand in the UK but I don’t really keep up with paint brands, so I’ve only recently learnt about them.

If you are not in the know (like me!), Farrow and Ball are a UK-based paint company that makes eco-friendly water-based paints. As Bounce Magazine states, “Their eco-friendly paint formulas are made by using recyclable materials, reducing the impact on the earth without compromising on quality.”

I saw some stunning Farrow and Ball colours at Kent Blaxill but with so many lovely colours to choose from, I’ve narrowed down some options but need a second (or third) option to help me pick the right ones for my home. I’m looking to simply refresh some rooms with a neutral colour but I also want a bold colour for some special areas of my home – here are some of my favourite tones.
My favourite Farrow and Ball Colours – Farrow and Ball Elephant’s Breath
Elephant’s Breath looks like a relaxing grey shade that would look stunning with a Nordic-style indoor décor. This is one of their many iconic shades but why? Lee Chambers, psychologist, explains that this shade “has a lovely contemporary feel which will create a spacious area where it is used” and a “balance of being both uplifting and calming.”

Hague Blue has to be my favourite colour of the bunch. I know it’s a very trendy colour at the moment and following trends is probably not the best way to go when it comes to interior design… I mean can anyone keep up with trends?
Even DIY Daddy Blog suggests steering away from trends saying “Remember that trends come and go, so don’t chase trends around. Decorate with items you love and turn your house into a home in no time.” However, this deep rich blue colour is so glamourous, dramatic and bold yet classic and sophisticated – the perfect balance for a living room or kitchen.
Wood Create recommends “making your house feel more like you by making your personality shine through your colour choices. No more monochromatic rooms. Play around with colours and turn your house into a home.” Hague Blue seems like the ideal colour to make my interiors feel “more me”.
