I have been starting to think about gifts for Christmas and want to buy loved ones. As you’ll know from previous posts, we don’t always do massive presents in my family – instead opting for smaller, thoughtful ones or days out together. However, I have friends to buy for and I also love window shopping for gifts. I actually really enjoy buying presents for people, especially when you have seen something that you know they’re going to like & you just buy it for that reason, and not because it’s a special occasion.
When Daddilife got in touch to ask me if I would like to review a copy of his 2nd book I knew I had to have a look. I loved his Dad Joke a Day book and so I had high hopes that “You’re Going To be a Dad” would be a good read – and it definitely ticks a lot of boxes
.
The book is over 400 pages long and, although I am not likely to ever be a dad, as far as I can see it has plenty of tips that dads to be would find helpful. I love buying presents that are both something that they will love, but also something practical; which if you know someone who is a dad-to-be or a new dad then this would be perfect!
I’ve had a good flick through and it covers things week by week, so handy for keeping track on any journey through fatherhood – I imagine it feels great to know that others are feeling the same as you, it really does have some great tips; and I think for a new dad it would help to take away some of the worries in a really relaxed and fun way, which is super important. I also liked that it isn’t all about dad, but it touches on working together with your partner as a team – which for me, is one of the most important parts of a relationship, let alone one that involves parenting!
I’m a big believer in having a bookshelf of books that are positive and inspirational, so if you’re going to be a new dad then there is nothing wrong with buying this for yourself too! It’s available on Amazon, mine came the next day which is one of my favourite parts about using Amazon!
