A few weeks ago a lovely company called Jilsen contacted me about their boots. They offer a range of wide calf boots, to give another option to those with larger legs. I know that lots of women struggle to find boots that fit because of their large calves, so this sounded ideal to me!.
The company kindly sent me a pair of boots to try for myself. I’ll talk about the good points first. They shipped quickly and I had the boots within just a couple of days. They come well packaged in a long, heavy duty box so they weren’t damaged while being sent. The colour and feel of the boots was magnificent and you can tell that the boots have been made with quality and comfort in mind.
The bad news was – they didn’t fit! Hence, a lack of photos of me wearing the boots because I couldn’t get them on. I choose the lovely Anna boots with a 52cm calf. This was the biggest calf size they did and I assumed they would fit, but they didn’t đ I was really sad, because I loved the look of the boots and I’d loved to have been able to wear them! So make sure you check your measurements before you order – they offer boots in a variety of calf width fittings.
However, Jilsen do get my recommendationn simply because it is so fantastic to have another option when it comes to plus size footwear. The quality of the boots is fantastic and if they fitted me I know they would have been something remained in my wardrobe for a number of years. Boots like this are a real high-quality investment and Jilsen offer great options for this!
