Yesterday I visited a dog-friendly farm in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and it was one of the nicest, most wholesome days I have had in ages. Let me start by saying, technically, Bell Green Farm is in Goole, but it is such a short distance from Doncaster and actually further from Goole town centre, so if you are close to Doncaster and looking for a dog-friendly farm, you’re in luck!

I have been to Bell Green Farm loads of times before, as they have an amazing secure dog park that I like to take Derek and Gerald to. However, I haven’t visited the animal farm part of the farm before – they’re open on select weekends and times throughout the year, so it’s definitely wise to check their social media channels before you go.

Visiting Bell Green Farm
They’re open at weekends throughout October for meeting the animals and picking pumpkins from their pumpkin patch (they grow them there!). So yesterday, we took the dogs for a visit, and I am really glad we did. I will say, keep in mind, this is a working farm and as such the ground isn’t necessarily the smoothest, so do wear sensible shoes and keep that in mind.

The farm itself is free entry and there is free parking, so great for a budget day out!! There are bags of animal food to buy via an honesty box system when you enter, which is a fun way to spend your visit and a great way to support the farm too!
This is a lovely, cosy dog-friendly farm in Doncaster – the dogs really loved meeting some big wooly dogs đ

It was so fun to see the goats, sheep and alpacas run towards us when they saw that we had brown bags of animal feed. I hadn’t seen alpacas up close before; they were so lovely.
As you make your way around the farm, you can most definitely feel eyes watching you as the animals all hope you are making your way over to them to feed them next!
