Dressing For Summer Just Got Very Nice – I’ve recently rediscovered a love of plus-size fashion and I’m enjoying discovering brands that cater to my size and have options that I really like. I recently re-stumbled across Very and was pleasantly surprised and what they offer in terms of plus-size fashion options.
If you follow me on social media you’ll know that I recently had a trip back home to Lancashire to spend some time with friends and family, and what a lovely time it was! Although I knew I had a wardrobe packed full of options I got the itch to find something new to wear while I was away – and that is where I rediscovered Very.

Did you know that Very not only stocks their own brands but other brands too which means that they are a great place to buy a whole outfit from. I had no idea that they stocked New Look and Yours Clothing for example. What I was most thrilled about was that the Yours Clothing stuff went up to a size 40, in line with the Yours Clothing website itself – which is a great step for ensuring that as many people as possible know it is an option.

When I saw this dress listed on their website I knew I had to have it – although I don’t usually go for midi dresses as a rule; the orange colours and shirred material at the top ticked my boxes – and it went straight in my basket. I have to say, it was so comfortable to wear and I wore it for a whole day in Lytham and Blackpool without it becoming awkward or uncomfortable to wear. I actually don’t know why I avoid midi dresses and this has shown me that it’s a length that I can actually get on board with wearing.

Despite the windswept look the day was actually pretty warm; although we avoided travelling in the heatwave which I was glad about. I’ll be honest and say when it comes to women’s summer dresses I don’t think it’s possible to own too many and I was so pleased to see a well-known brand such as Very stocking such a range available in plus sizes – nearly 1000 of them in fact!

Added Bonus
What I loved about shopping with Very is that I don’t just have to look for plus-size options, I can shop for the accessories that make the rest of the outfit too. I opted for these Adidas trainers which were so comfortable to wear – I’m definitely on board with the midi dress and trainers trend… Is it still a trend or am I late to the party? I even ordered this cute Accessorize bag at the same time – winning!

Very have so many brands on offer, but if you’re not sure where to start then collaborations like the one with Judi Love (which goes up to a size 32) help!

It’s so nice to feel excited about plus size fashion again – what are the things you’re loving at the moment?
*Collaborative post – but all thoughts are my own.
