A few weeks ago I wrote about the exciting news that George at Asda had decided to extend their plus size range up to a size 32! You can read that here. The range itself isn’t revolutionary and it won’t cause headlines but it is pretty amazing! For me, any range that is affordable, accessible and up to a size 32 is great news – and I only hope that this range sets the bar & more high street places follow suit.

The lovely people at George at Asda were kind enough to send me a few pieces to try and I have to say I am really impressed. The dresses were both less than £15 and the leggings were less than a tenner – it doesn’t get much better than that, does it?

I love the quality of the items. I have actually worn both of the dresses loads of times in the weeks that I have had them and they have been washed – they’re still looking good and the colours are still great. The leggings are really nice too. They are a little long for me, but I am very short so that is often the case! They are perfect tucked into boots which is ideal for this time of year too!

The range itself seems to have a few new items being added here and there, so it is definitely one to keep an eye on!

Just a short post today about this lovely dress I picked up from Yours Clothing at the weekend. I was in Derby this weekend and so paid a visit to the Yours Store at Westfields there (it’s lovely – more about that later). They had this BEAUTIFUL maxi dress in store and now it’s mine!

The Purple and Green Tropical Print maxi dress is £35 on the website or in store and is available right up to a size 36 – amazing! It is a little long for me, but I quite like that long gyspy/boho look anyway. It also means that it would be suitable for someone taller than me too (which is likely to be most of you!).

I am quite new to the whole maxi dress trend, but I am really loving it! I now want all the maxi dresses! Yours Clothing have some really lovely ones and even though I have said it once and I will no doubt say it again, it is SO pleasing to see them do pretty dresses up to a size 36! As far as I know there isn’t a fashion retailer in the UK doing such an affordable range like this and I only hope it continues to grow.

You might have seen a post I did before with Simply Be, looking at how you can dress the same as your smaller friends – even if you are plus size. I wanted to show this in a different way and the lovely team at New Look were happy to help and kindly sent me and my sister a dress each!


Once again I roped in my sister to help me and we set about choosing items to wear from New Look. It’s great that we have a choice of using the same retailer even if our bodies are so different. With this post we decided to do something different and choosing non-matching items. 


I wanted to show that you can dress however you want, even if you are different sizes. My sister and I want to dress differently, but that doesn’t mean that we wouldn’t enjoy a shopping spree in the same place – as you can see, New Look lets us do this!

Lisa choose this Mela Navy Stripe Floral Skater Dress, which is out of stock now but there are plenty of patterns like it. It is a material that has no give or stretch in it, so that’s worth remembering when you do order. It’s only £24 too so bit of a bargain!

I chose this palm tree print dress from New Look Inspire and I love it. The dress is a lovely material and I found it to be a very generous size. I like the fact that it’s black as I don’t have many dark colours, but the pattern is also lovely and really breaks it up – and the dress has pockets, which I know so many of you love! It’s less than £20 too! YAY!

So there you go, another way you can your friends can all shop in the same place 🙂

I am a big fan of dresses by Yours Clothing and really wish my wardrobe could be packed full of them all! When I saw this dress on the website I knew I wanted it. Although it’s listed as a tunic it’s a great length and perfect for if you want to get your pins out this summer. The jersey material is really nice and ‘casual‘ feeling which is great for summer.

However, one of the nicest things about this dress is that it is available up to a size 36 which is something that really excites me. I love that Yours Clothing now offer clothing above a size 32 and when it is fashion items like this then it is even better. It’s also a really generous size so you could easily size down if you wanted to. It has a tie at the waist so you can tie it nice and tight and bring it in if you want to give it a more fitted shape. 

As you can see it has a keyhole effect cut out at the front which I think is really fun and cheeky for summer. It’s also in the sale for just under £20.00 at the moment.
