We’re reaching that time of year where we start to consider what this year has bought us and what we might want to do to make the next year different/better. For many people relocating or just moving to a new house in the same area will be top of the list – whether they want something bigger, smaller or just to try something new moving house is exciting – but can be stressful. Here are some tips for a smooth home move.
You Can Not Be Too Organised
When it comes to arranging a home move you literally can not be too organised. You’ll want to create lists and possibly even lists for your lists – things like utilities should be cancelled/moved and order as soon as possible, because leaving this to the last minute can sometimes result in penalty fees. Start your decluttering as soon as you know you might be moving and then think about packing. Try to avoid taking things with you that you haven’t looked at or used in years; use your new house as an excuse to have a great new start.

You might be tempted to try and do it all yourself, but there are definite merits for getting experts on board. Of course, no one wants anything to go wrong when it comes to their home move but the truth is that sometimes there are unavoidable delays so being organised just means that your move goes as smoothly as possible.
