Wall art is such a great way to change the look and feel of a room. I’ve loved wall art for ages now, especially when I lived in rented houses in Birmingham because they let me put my own style on where I lived without upsetting the landlord too much. I recently discovered a fantastic supplier of wall art called Desenio and wanted to share them with you. They kindly gave me a voucher which I used to help a friend choose some wall art for her new home and I personally love all of the pieces – and will definitely be logging on to buy my own!
There Are No Rules
My friend had recently moved into a new house so I knew she would be itching to get her hands on some new wall art to mark the occasion – as we’re both fans of pretty things hung on the wall. However, we’re also both a bit chaotic and I knew that by letting her choose her own pieces she would be able to pick exactly what she wanted – no rules! If you want all of the wall art in your home to match then that’s fine – but if you want something where everything is different and jumbled that’s okay too! One of the best things about Desenio is that they have such a large range of modern art available, so there really is something for everyone! In the end, the main pieces she chose are these, which hang above her bed, and I love the sense of calmness that they bring to the room.
Get The Whole Family Involved
Art is something personal – we all have different likes and dislikes so it is important that everyone gets to have a little of their own personality reflected in where you all live. My friend let her children choose some wall art (great choices if you ask me) and I love that they all got a little something that they can love of their own.
Choose Pieces You Really Love
When choosing pieces to hang in your home, don’t go for pieces that you’re indifferent about. There is such a selection of wall art out there, that there is truly something for everyone. Only go for pieces that you absolutely love and you’ll soon have a home filled with art that makes your heart and soul happy!
