The Importance of Looking After Your Vehicle

September 1, 2018 by Debz Louise Leave a Comment

As someone who is not a car owner, I guess I often take for granted how I can simply get into someone’s car and they’ll drive me to where I need to be. Whether I am getting
in a taxi or a lift with a friend, I never have to think about the steps they have taken to ensure their car is up to the job – I simply get in and go!
That said, I recently had reason to give more thought to this, as a friend undertook some of their own vehicle repairs and talked me through some of what they did. Now, I am no mechanic but I definitely have a better idea now of how expensive and/or time consuming these repairs can be.

Avoiding The Problem

Although it would be naive to suggest that all vehicle problems can be avoided, there are definite steps you can take to ensure that your vehicle is in the best possible position. Even if I owned a car, I would never be someone who did my own repairs and maintenance instead I would suggest getting someone else to check over your car regularly. In order to keep your car in goodhealth I would recommend that you get it serviced regularly.  To do this you could pay a visit to somewhere like KAP Motors Brighton Branch your reliable local garage to take advantage of their affordable car health check services. There is bound to be a branch of mechanics that would be able to help you with this locally if Brighton isn’t convenient.

Other Advantages

Of course, when it comes to cars having one that actually runs is always a good thing, but there are other advantages to looking after your motor. For example, if you ever want to sell your car on – you’ll find it keeps its value much better and so in the long run, paying out to have your car serviced could actually save you money.
Then you have the fact that if your car does break, repairs can be expensive. Although it doesn’t account for all problems  – sometimes big car issues started off small and because the issue wasn’t fixed; it gets worse and ultimately has a bigger dent on your wallet. Far better to make sure that issues are checked when they are easily fixed and can help you escape the hefty
repair bills of a bigger problem.
When was the last time you had your car serviced?

Encouraging Children to Give Sport a Try

August 30, 2018 by Debz Louise Leave a Comment

Give Sport a Try  – As a parent I imagine you want to teach your children the importance of living well balanced lives – enjoying a range of activities as well as the importance of being active. While some youngsters need little persuasion to run around after a ball, others quite simply are not bothered by the prospect of competition – and that’s okay. [Read more…]

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing Your Wedding Party

August 29, 2018 by Debz Louise Leave a Comment

Choosing who you want to be part of your bridal party can be one of the most difficult decisions
when it comes to planning your wedding. For some people, the decision is an easy and an obvious
one. For other couples, deciding who is going to be the best man and bridesmaids can keep them
awake for nights on end. If you feel like you fall into the latter category, fear not. There are a
number of different steps you can take to ensure you end up with the perfect bridal party for you.

So, let’s take a look…

Think twice before asking – There is no rush when it comes to asking people to be your
best man, bridesmaids, ushers, and so on. Therefore, make sure you take a moment so that
you can truly think about whether or not you have made the right decision. No matter how
confident you are, it certainly helps to take a moment to mull over all of your options. After all,
once you have asked someone to be in your wedding party, you can’t go back on this.

Don’t feel you have to ask someone because they asked you – A lot of people feel obliged
to ask someone because they played a role at their wedding. Just because you were a
bridesmaid at someone else’s wedding does not mean they have to be one at yours. As
time goes on, friends change and we enter different stages in our lives.

You may have been best friends with someone at university and been in the bridal party when
she got married. However, if you have not spoken for three years, you do not need to include her
in your bridesmaid gang. She won’t expect you to either. Your bridal party should be filled with
people you genuinely want, rather than you feeling like you need to return favours or even
the score.

Choose responsible friends – This is especially the case when it comes to the best man. The
last thing you want is for the best man speech to have everyone squirming in their chair
because it is so awkward and laced with tales about the groom’s ex-girlfriend. The last thing you
want to do is spend your wedding babysitting people in your bridal party, so make sure you pick
people you can rely on to be responsible.

Think about including your sisters and brothers – If you are an only child, you will be skipping
this paragraph. If not, you may want to think about including your brother and sister, even if
you are not particularly close. We don’t want to sound like your mum, but your brother and
sister are going to be there for all of your anniversaries and you will probably become closer
as you get older, so it can be nice to include them in your special day.

Consider the size of your wedding – You should also think about the size of your wedding when
determining the size of your wedding party. Most people tend to have four people on either side.
However, you can have as many or as few groomsmen and bridesmaids as you want.
Nevertheless, it usually wise to keep the number of people you have in your bridal party in line
with the number of attendees you are going to have. After all, if you are going to have a small
wedding with only around 50 guests, it’s not a good idea to have 12 in your bridal party.

Make sure your expectations are honest – The next step is to think about the sort of role you
want your wedding party to play. Do you want all of your bridesmaids, for example, to assist
you with shopping for your wedding dress, choosing invites, and so on? Or, do you simply want
them to show up on your wedding day and be there for you while you say “I do”? There is no
right or wrong with this. It is all about what you want for your wedding. However, your answer
to these questions can impact the sort of person you ask to be in your bridal party. If you are
looking for people to help you throughout the entire planning phase, you will want to go for
friends that are reliable whom you can count on.

Research other roles – Last but not least, if you have a large group of friends and you are
worried that people are going to be left out, why not look for other roles? There are plenty of
other ways that people can get involved in your wedding. For example, do you have a musically
inclined friend who would love to play at your wedding reception? Or, maybe you could have a
few ushers who lead people to their seats when they arrive? There are lots of other ways to get
other people included, so make sure you think outside of the box.

As you can see, there are a number of different factors that you should consider when you are
trying to decide on how is going to be part of your bridal party. From your bridesmaid to your
best man, you want to make sure that you have the right people standing by you on the most
important day of your life. Use the steps that have been presented above and you should be able
to come to the best decision for you.

The Importance of Complaining

August 29, 2018 by Debz Louise Leave a Comment

I have to admit, I am a complainer. That’s not to say I am someone that complains about nothing, but if I have had poor service then I am not afraid to complain. I think that if a service has been poor, then one of the best ways to get this fixed is to make the company aware. After all, if they don’t know there is an issue then they might just carry on doing things the way they always have, and that is no good to anyone. [Read more…]

Getting To Know a New Home

August 22, 2018 by Debz Louise Leave a Comment

Getting To Know a New Home – Although I lived in London a few years ago, it;s been a long time since I have lived in a house where I am expected to be the responsible grown-up. When I left London I moved back to my parents and when I left there, I moved to Birmingham and live in a house share for 18 months. Both of these were great because grown-up house decisions were not down to me, so someone else could sort out the hard stuff.

4 Tips To Help You Buy The Perfect Bra

August 13, 2018 by Debz Louise Leave a Comment

Buying underwear is so easy for men. Most of the time, they just walk into a shop and grab the first pack of pants they can find. But for women, it’s so much harder. Getting the right bra is easier said than done but it’s so important. A bra that doesn’t fit properly or isn’t the right shape can be incredibly uncomfortable or even painful in some cases. You’re going to be wearing it all day every day so you absolutely have to make sure you get the perfect one. If your bras aren’t quite right and you don’t know where you’re going wrong, read this handy list of tips for buying the perfect bra.

Know Your Body Type

The biggest mistake that people make when they’re choosing a bra is assuming that sizes are all going to be the same. It actually varies quite a bit depending on your body type and somebody with a lot of curves is going to need a different style to somebody that is smaller. If you don’t know what your body type is and you don’t choose a bra that is right for that body type, it’s not going to fit quite right even if you think you’ve got the size right.

Get A Proper Measurement Regularly

People also assume that once you reach adulthood, your size isn’t going to change that much but it can fluctuate quite a lot. Most people just go and get the size that they usually get and assume that it’s correct. What you should be doing is getting measured every 6 months or so just to check. You might find that you’ve been wearing the wrong sized bra for a long while. You also need a professional to measure you because even though you might think you’ve got the right size, you could be a bit off.

Choose Something That Makes You Feel Good

A bra is first and foremost a functional piece of clothing that’s there to give you support, but that doesn’t mean you always have to go for something plain. Just like the rest of your clothes, you should buy something that makes you feel good when you wear it. You can get plenty of cheap sexy underwear online. Having underwear that makes you feel sexy will make you feel more at home in your outfit as a whole, you can’t build a good outfit without proper foundations.

Look After Them Properly

Bras are pretty expensive so you don’t want to be buying them all the time. They’ll wear out eventually but you can make them last a lot longer if you look after them properly. A lot of bras say hand wash only on them but they end up in the washing machine with everybody else because it’s easier. However, they’re hand wash only for a reason and if you keep putting them through the washing machine all the time, the stitching will wear out quickly and you’ll get wiring coming through the fabric and digging into your skin which is incredibly uncomfortable. Always look at the washing instructions and follow them to the letter if you want your bras to last.

Follow these simple tips and you’ll be able to get good quality, comfortable bras that fit properly every time.
