A Look At Meeting Someone Online I imagine you all know by now, but I’ll tell you again anyway – I met my boyfriend online. We’ve been together for nearly 3 years and lived together for nearly 2. After a range of different dating methods, websites and a handful of cringe-worthy dating stories, we met on Plenty of Fish and never looked back! When we met we lived a couple of hours apart – so safe to say, we soon become best friends with Whatsapp and video calls.
A Look At Meeting Someone Online
I know it isn’t the same, but with some social distancing measures still in place, I can online imagine that virtual dating has taken off in a big way. Whether you’re on a Berkshire Dating Site to meet someone local, or a more generic website like I was and looking to meet people from anywhere, virtual date ideas are so much fun!
The Benefits of Online Dates
One of the scary things about meet someone in real life is whether you’ll have any real-life chemistry or not – we’ve all been there! My partner and I used to spend lots of time on Whatsapp sending random pictures of our day backwards and forwards – photos of what we had for dinner or what we had seen that day. I know it is only a really small thing but I think it helped us get to know one another. We had a lots of phone conversations and a couple of video chats before we met, so we sort of already had an inkling that we would get on. I would always recommend at least chatting on the phone before you meet someone, but a video chat is helpful too!
Dating Online
If you are going to date someone virtually – whether that is for a first date, long-distance dating or just as an interim method because you can’t be together, it is good to know that there are plenty of things for you to do online. Over the last 12 months, so many companies have upped their game with what they offer in the way of entertainment online so you’re well catered for. You can go for Netflix and chill – both order some food and watch a film at the same time, like a cinema date but at home, you can even get dressed up if you want – or stay in your PJ’s, I’m not one to judge!
I bet if you look up local pubs they’re likely to do online pub quizzes too which can be a really fun thing to do! If you’re looking for something different then you’ll find lots of art galleries and museums have online tours too!
My boyfriend and I went to so many different museums when we were dating – they’re free, warm and give you something to talk about so they make a great date idea! If you’re on a Berkshire dating website you could look for something local, or go for it and visit a virtual museum on the other side of the world, the choice is yours.
Doing this online is also a really fun way to spend time together virtually and it gives you plenty to talk about, so you never have to worry about the conversation.
Do you have any online date ideas? I’d love to hear them!
