Like most of us, it’s been a while since I have gotten really dressed up and gone out; so I’m out of practice when it comes to choosing and buying jewellery. However, I have a party to attend soon, so when Carat London gave me the option of choosing jewellery from their extensive range I jumped at the chance:
Carat London has been creating and selling jewellery for nearly 20 years, so it is safe to say that when it comes to creating a bit of bling they really know what they are talking about. Their mission has always been to look at alternatives to traditionally-mined gems – which is where their lab-created gemstones came from, and I think you’ll agree it’s something they do extremely well. You’ll see from their website that they have a whole range of jewellery pieces to choose from, which helps to ensure that whatever you are looking for there will be something for you. As you may well know I’m a fan of hoop earrings so I went for these medium hoops and I love them!
It’s hard to do justice with the pictures, but these hoops are extremely sparkly and definitely add a bit of bling to any outfit you choose to wear. The clasp feels solid and the way they unhinge slightly to be done up and undone makes them really easy to put in and take out. I’m guilty of taking my earrings out first after a long night, so I want something hassle-free which these Amaia Media Hoops most definitely do!

I loved that the ones I choose came in a beautiful box which is definitely worth considering if you’re looking to buy jewellery as a gift. Personally, when it comes to choosing jewellery I think it is a personal choice and as such there are no rules.
However, much like anything I wear fashion-wise for me, it’s all about comfort- I want earrings made from nice metal that isn’t going to make my ears sore and a necklace that isn’t going to rub and make my neck green at the back. I don’t want rings that pinch or bracelets that are too tight.
For me these days, jewellery is all about investing in high quality, comfortable pieces that are going to last and Carat London definitely ticks those boxes.
