Uncommon Goods: Online Shopping
Can you believe we’re getting to that time of year again where we’re starting to think about how we’re going to spend the holidays and what gifts to buy people.
When it comes to gift bying, I don’t have much family to buy for and with friends we tend to do secret santa and other gift swaps. This means that I can spend time really getting the gifts I do buy right. I actually love buying presents for people and even if I am shopping on a budget, I want to make sure what I buy is something that they’re going to love.
The Uncommon Goods website is perfect for this, because they have so much choice! I love websites that mean I can buy most of what I want in one place, because then I don’t have to worry about tracking and waiting for lots of deliveries. This website definitely ticks all of the boxes for this.
Everything is set out in handy sections, so if you’re looking for gifts for him, baby shower presents or something else completely you have a really good idea of where to start; which makes present buying a much easier process!
I know it might seem a little early to start present shopping, but realistically the C-word is just around the corner, and will soon creep up on us! I would recommend starting to window shop for gifts for the men in your life, because then you can shortlist ideas – which means when it comes to actually buy, you’ll be ready to go (and far less stressed!)
Have you started to think about Christmas shopping yet?

The Price of Petrol and Other Things To Consider as a Driver!
have started to think about the possibility of learning to drive. I had a few
lessons back when I was 20 but nothing since then – I do worry if I may be too
old to learn, but I guess you never know unless you try!
learning to drive could be a good thing. Since relocating to Birmingham I am
around 2 hours from my family for example, so I have to rely on trains and
public transport to get me there when I want to visit. It is the same for
attending blogger events and visiting friends. I think it might be nice to have
the freedom to come and go when I please, rather than having to load up Google
maps and see when the next bus is and building my schedule around this.
have given a lot of thought to since considering whether learning to drive is
for me, is the price of petrol. I know from talking to friends and family that
the price of petrol is a sticking point for many people – as the price has
increased so much over recent years, with apparently not much more to show for
it.
that the look and feel of petrol stations has changed over many years – we have
24 hour coffee machines and the chance to get hot food when you visit, but is
that really worth the price of extra petrol? I guess that is a matter of opinion!
not think about petrol stations when you consider look at forum insurance brokers websites but
they do have a lot to help with your health and safety when you are driving.
For example, at most petrol stations you can check your tires and buy oil to
top up the engine if it is needed. We can do so much more than pop in fill up
our cars with petrol and leave again.
you say you benefit most from when it comes to petrol stations? Me personally I
love being able to pop in and get a nice cold drink and a magazine for my journey
but I am sure most of you benefit from so much more!

Surviving Winter
Have you got snow? Do you love it? I’m going to be a right party pooper here and say that I do not like snow at all! I can admit that it is sometimes nice to look out from the warmth of your own home, but actually getting out and about when the weather is cold, wet and icy is not my cup of tea at all!
However, what I am hating most about this type of year is this stupid “winter virus” that is going around. Have you had it? Know someone who has?
Last week I spent 2 days pretty much wanting to do nothing but sleep – I figured I was just a bit run down and needed to catch up on sleep! However then one day I woke up with a very sore throat and a cough, which hasn’t gone away since! I do feel a bit coldy, but in general it’s mostly this annoying cough that is the biggest pain, I am pretty sure my work colleagues would agree with you!
The other night I actually laid awake with earache, which felt strange because that always strikes me as more of something that children suffer with. In desperation I started to Google for help and ideas and stumbled across The Independent Pharmacy.
I hadn’t actually realised that it was so easy to get medicines and prescriptions online, but what a really good idea!? I know that personally, sometimes I am just too busy to go to an actual shop and buy stuff – which is probably why my online shopping habit has increased so steadily. So the fact that you can possibly get medicines online is a really good idea!
They have loads of sections for general health and beauty too, so you are able to get all sorts of items in one place – and they deliver it to your door, which always works well for me!
I’ve spent my week off dosed up on cold and flu tablets and drinking cough mixture like its going out of fashion, so I am hoping the end is in sight for this illness.
Hope you’ve managed to escape feeling too poorly!

Present Shopping When Christmas is Over
I can bet most of the country feels like they’re all shopped out when it comes to present giving at this time of year – however everyone still needs presents. Christmas might be the time when we buy a bulk of gifts at the same time – but you still have anniversary, birthday and other occasion gifts to buy throughout the year.
I always quite like the idea of buying a gift for someone, but I am useless when it comes to deciding what to buy them. It feels like such a big pressure, to choose something that you’re confident they’re going to be happy with. That is why I quite like having a browse through helpful sections such as Anniversary Gifts on the Uncommon Goods website because it makes choosing much easier.
Whether you’re looking for anniversary gifts for him or anniversary gifts for her, Uncommon Goods is a good place to start. They have some really unusual and unique present ideas – which means that you can feel confident you’re giving them something that is new to them.
Their website aims to offer recycled and sustainable products which means that you’re also doing your bit for the environment. Lots of their present ideas are also personalised which is ideal if you’re looking for something a bit special.
Personally I lost hours just window shopping their website – there was so many different gifts ideas I hadn’t come across before. Without a doubt I’ll be buying something from their website in the near future.
What next big gift do you have to buy now that Christmas is over? I think I am safe until my brothers birthday in February!
