As you’ll probably know, I have been working for myself for over a year now which means I am well versed at working from home. I’m actually enjoying it and the flexibility I get when working here compared to what work was like when I worked in an office is amazing! I am actually looking forward to summer knowing that I have the power to change my hours and working pattern to fit in with the weather. Will you be working at home this summer?
I know that plenty of people working from home this summer will still be tied to a desk, working hours set by the boss and still not able to enjoy the sunshine as much – what is a travesty! I’ve recently been looking at rattan furniture and the option of working outside when the weather allows, so I thought I would share with you too – maybe it’ll help you get a bit more vitamin D this summer.
Choosing Furniture For Your Garden
There are some beautiful luxury rattan furniture pieces out there at the moment, which is perfect for someone who wants to spend a little more time outside. We had some of our garden done last year and we’ve just put a BBQ out there too so I know that we’ll be spending plenty of time out there this year. Of course, I am going to look into what seating is plus size friendly and will work for me. I think that is one of the nicest things about the outdoor furniture that is available this year – there is so much of it, so there is going to be something for everyone.

Retailers have caught onto the fact that we’ve all been spending more time at home than ever, and that this is something that could happen again and so have worked hard to bring out ranges of furniture that suit everyone. Sofas, outdoor heating, stools and all manner of garden accessories are on offer, so you can go as luxury as you like with your garden. I actually love spending time in the garden, because you can enjoy the sunshine in the privacy of your own home. The beach or park is lovely, but they can be a bit too peoplely for me 🙂 There isn’t this risk with spending time in your own garden!
Creating An Outdoor Space If Working At Home This Summer
If you are working at home this summer, creating a space without outdoor furniture is perfectly possible. You’ll want a table that you can use as a desk and probably some sort of umbrella or sunshade to stop the sun shining on your laptop screen. Other than that, grab the suncream and an ice-cold drink and get yourself outside for some of your working day. We have all spent so long stuck at home that we really should be embracing the summer and making the most of it – I am sure you agree!
