Long Distance Relationships – Are They For You?
Apart from a very brief fling at the start of the year, I have been single for quite a while – so me talking about relationships and making them work might seem a little ironic. However, I have done the long distance thing and in all honesty, I would again.
I am someone that likes my own space, so if I was to get in a relationship with someone local I know I might struggle if they wanted to spend all their time with me. I like the idea of someone living a distance away and having that excitement of when you are able to meet up and see each other once again.
One of the nicest things about online dating is that whether you’re looking for someone local or you’re not worried about where they live, you’ll be able to find a website that suits you and your needs. Surviving The Distance
In my experience, surviving long distance relationships is all about communication. As you’re not seeing someone all the time it’s important that you talk a lot and keep in touch. These days we have Whatsapp and Facebook messenger so speaking to each other is easier than ever. Send each other selfies, photos of your day and video chat when you can – it really does make all the difference.
If you meet someone via a dating agency Manchester but live in London, you need to do what you can to make sue it works. It can be harder work to ensure that this is the case but if both parties are willing to make it work, it can be done.

Is Online Dating For Me?
I remember when I was younger, not many people talked about online dating. It was always a bit taboo and you’d probably say someone was a friend of a friend and you met that way, rather than saying you met on the big bad World Wide Web.
These days things are a bit different and people aren’t so afraid that they met their significant other on a website for over 50s dating Merseyside or that they signed up to meet someone on an over 50s dating Leeds based website. This makes it much easier, because who wants to make up a lie about where they met someone and have to remember what story they made up.
I’m a fan of online dating and have met a real interesting mix of people – some good and some bad, but that is all part of lifes rich tapestry isn’t it? As for whether online dating is for you – that is something online you can decide!
I would say if you are someone who is in the over 50s dating Strathclyde (or other local areas) category then you having nothing to lose. The best piece of advice I can give you is to go into everything with an open mind and your eyes wide open. If something feels to go to be true, then the chances are – it is!
